Viking Alsvin

Viking Alsvin

The Viking Alsvin is another one of the Longship class ships. She sails some of the lines most popular routes through Europe.  The ships design has allowed for some very innovative spaces.  Guests enjoy the indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace at the bow of the ship, an expansive Sun Deck and spacious public spaces, lots of natural light and light blonde wood accents.

The ship carries 190 guests in comfortable, understated elegance, with hotel-style beds and amenities like 26-inch flat-panel TVs and in-room refrigerators. There are several stateroom options to choose from. Most of the staterooms include either a veranda or sliding glass windows that turn the entire room into a French balcony.

Like other Viking ships, you will find many cultural and informational programs designed to inform you about the places you will visit.  From folk singers and dancers to cooking demonstrations you will be in for unique learning experience.

The ship gets its name from a Norse legend, Alsvin is one of the two horses that pulls the sun across the sky in a chariot driven by Sol. The name Alsvin means "very swift." The other horse is called Arvakr, whose name means "early riser."
