We want to ensure your future travel plans go smoothly! Starting May 7, 2025, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will begin full enforcement of the REAL ID Act. This means:
✅ You must present a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card (or another acceptable form of ID like a passport) to board domestic commercial flights or access certain federal facilities 1.
❌ Non-compliant IDs will no longer be accepted at TSA checkpoints. Travelers without a REAL ID or alternative acceptable ID may face delays, additional screening, or be denied entry to the security checkpoint 2.
🔍 How to check if your ID is REAL ID-compliant: Look for a star in the upper right corner of your driver’s license or state-issued ID. If you don’t see one, it’s time to visit your local DMV to upgrade.
📅 Don’t wait until the last minute—lines and appointment availability may be limited as the deadline approaches.
